File Extension GP3 - CCITT Group 3 File
GP3 file extension is a CCITT Group 3 file, which generally described is the CCITT Group 3 Facsimile data file containing data for Group 3 FAX with no header, or in ‘raw’ form. It is in fact the CCITT Group 3 default extension, and is supported by quite a number of FAX applications covering a wife area of platforms. As for PMView support, the Fax data can be assumed to contain data rows of a maximum of 1728 pixels and a minimum height of 100 pixels.
At times referred to as TIFF CCITT GROUP 3, these files are said to be more compressed and more advanced than TIFF CCITT. Two dimensional and one dimensional variation for this format are supported by LEADTOOLS. File extension GP3 can also refer to Guitar Pro Ver. 3 Tableture, developed and marketed by the Arobas Music Company. Guitar Pro is a multitrack tablature editor for bass, banjo, and guitar. Guitar Pro can also be utilized as a toll that lets musicians accompany themselves, compose, or track progress of themselves. The identifying characters are Hex: 18 46 49 43 48 49 45 52 20 47 55 49 54 41 52 20 50 52 4F 20 76 33 2E and ASCII .FICHIER.GUITAR.PRO.v3. The exe file extension for GuitarPro.Tableture is %ProgramFiles%\GUITAR~1\GP3Demo.exe.
Guitar Pro can write scores and its MIME Type is application/x-spss, while its class is XML. When this file is sent as a file containing audio it could be a dictation file with the file extension as its dictator’s initials. A GP3 file is playable using software from BCB Voice Systems. Likewise this file may be a TrueSpeech format dictation file. To be able to play, read or open these files use Windows Media Player and/or Windows Sound Recorder. If there were no results due to the file having a number only or contains a number at its end, consider writing the same file extension format using one or zero. This is because some programs offer split files that are numbered, but at times the split is very extensive, for instance anywhere between .000 and .999, the database may only contain the first digit.
